Today, cryptocurrency TRON, one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies in the world announce that it has launched its own beta version of blockchain. Previously, TRON (symbol: TRX) was on Ethereum blockchain.
TRON blockchain is in beta currently but expected to go live sometime in June month. According to a news published on CoinTelegraph, the TRON will use a new Java-based MainNet with a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm. TRON’s developers claim their internal tests have shown that the network is “400 times faster” than Ethereum’s.
Currently, TRON is #10 in the market cap according to Coinmarketcap. The currency is valued close to $4 billion USD with current coin price $0.06, that is down from its all time high $0.21.
