BitTorrent, a leading software company with over 10 million users has made an official statement saying that it is now a part of TRON.
BitTorrent is a file sharing communication protocol with a peer-to-peer network. It has some top rated apps on Google Play along with other services like BitTorrent Play (iOS), uTorrent and desktop clients for PC and Mac. TRON is one of the largest blockchain based operating systems in the market working towards decentralizing internet. With the acquisition, TRON now owns all BitTorrent product and they are now, together, the world's largest ecosystem.
TRON’s new San Francisco location is going to become the operation center for BitTorrent’s global market. “The division will provide robust support for TRON’s global business development and partnerships while pursuing its vision for the world’s largest decentralized ecosystem,” said BitTorrent in the official announcement.
This will ensure better services for BitTorrent’s consumers as well as well as tremendous support for TRON to achieve their goals. The acquisition is an interesting step in the part of both firms but only the future can tell if it will be a success or not.
