MDT Launches Blockchain Oracle - MeFi

Recently, Measurable Data Token (MDT) launched Measurable Finance (MeFi), a blockchain oracle for capital market financial data.

According to MDT MeFi has been devised to connect traditional financial data markets to the DeFi sector. The solution grants off-chain external financial data feeds to public blockchains, accrediting the decentralized finance ecosystem with reliable on-chain data.

Measurable Data Token, which is a decentralized data exchange ecosystem that compensates people for sharing anonymous data points and enables data exchange securely and anonymously on blockchain said that DeFi developers will be able to obtain more range of financial data from MeFi with the MDT tokens on-chain.

Measurable Finance is open-sourced on Github. Dapp developers who need data from the capital markets can utilize it to execute hybrid smart contracts on the blockchain.

This first MeFi version integrates with major capital markets including Nasdaq, HKEX, and NYSE. MDT also plans to supply other core financial data such as company earnings, financial derivatives and ETFs for the smart contracts in future updates.

MDT said that its data arm Measurable AI pivots anonymous transactional data into valuable consumer insights for financial institutions, corporates, and academia. "The MDT team has pioneered the MeFi oracle as a means to bridge the gap between capital market financial data and the decentralized world." said the data exchange.

Alongside MeFi Oracle's launch, the exchange also announced a Dapp which has been built as Mefi's first use case. Currently available on both Ethereum and Testnet the MeFi Dapp enables users to access any livestock price information on blockchain from the real world capital markets via the MeFi Oracle.

Co-founder of Measurable Data Token, Heatherm Huang, described Data as the superpower in the capital markets. "MeFi serves as the 'Bloomberg on blockchain' - its secure connections between blockchain smart contracts and capital markets help developers access reliable external financial data on-chain." he added.
