Kraken Now Supports Apple And Google Pay

Kraken now supports Apple and Google Pay to make it easier to buy spot crypto via the exchange’s app.

Founded in 2011, Kraken is the world’s largest global digital asset exchange based on euro volume and liquidity. Based in San Francisco, the exchange was the first U.S. crypto firm to receive a state-chartered banking license.

Kraken said that the Kraken App, available in the Apple App Store as well as Google Play Store, now will automatically connect with a users' existing Apple Pay or Google Pay account.

According to Kraken the integration of payment methods such as Apple Pay or Google Pay is key to making the platform more accessible to users. The move is designed to simplify the purchasing process and brings the payment methods that users are already used to in their everyday life to the crypto experience.

From Kraken App, purchasing crypto can be completed in three easy steps. In the first step, a user will need to select the ‘Buy’ crypto button and choose his/her preferred cryptocurrency or select the ‘Buy’ button while on an individual token page.

In the second step, the user is required to enter the amount of crypto he/she wishes to purchase and use the ‘Pay With’ option to select Apple Pay or Google pay.

And as the final step, the user can review and confirm the purchase.

The app has a minimum purchase requirement of $10 and a maximum purchase limit of $7,500 in the course of a seven-day rolling period.

Kraken exchange is backed by investors including Tribe Capital, Hummingbird Ventures, Blockchain Capital and Digital Currency Group. Earlier this year the company doubled the number of trading pairs available to users using pounds and the Australian dollar as part of a major expansion.
