Dash Core Releases Critical Bugfix 0.12.3.3, Urges To Update ASAP

Dash Core has released a critical bugfix for its wallet platform as Dash Core 0.12.3.3 to address a serious vulnerability discovered recently in Bitcoin Core's codebase. The bug found could cause a node receiving a specially crafted block to crash.

The release is deemed crucial for all full node operators and hence the development team has urged the master nodes, explorers, exchanges and everyone else on the platform to update to the latest version ASAP. Users running older versions are requested to shut it down and upgrade while there is also an option to downgrade and use any pre-0.12.2.2 version.

The official blog post noted, “this (sic) release does NOT require masternode owners to start their masternodes from cold wallets. Masternode operators should stop the daemon running on a remote node, replace old binaries with the new ones and start the daemon again.”

The bug discovered duplicated inputs within a transaction. It has been mentioned in the GitHub post here.
